Unlike rigid, one-size-fits-all posture methods, Aston-Patterning® is always tailored to your unique body because it is a comprehensive and scientifically-based system of soft and gentle hands-on bodywork.

We’ll start each session by paying attention to how you walk, so you can get in touch with what your body is doing as you move.

During our session, I’ll talk you through what I’m doing as I do it so you can easily understand why we are working in that specific area of your body.

Each session is tailored towards your body and what you want, and together, we’ll explore what your personal best alignment looks and feels like, without forcing you into some rigid “perfect posture” ideal.

Aston-Patterning® hands-on techniques always go with the direction of the underlying fascia. We use smooth and gentle strokes in a very sensitive manner. I’m always aware of, and working with, the layer-based, spiral pattern of a particular area and how it relates to the rest of the body. This is why Aston-Patterning® can facilitate profound, lasting change without discomfort or strain.

Nothing we do together ever goes against the grain of your body, as it would be in a typical massage. There’s no resistance or pain.

To end our session, we’ll make sure you feel comfortable walking, moving, and integrating the changes you’ve made into your daily movements, so that you feel motivated to maintain the sense of lightness you’ve learned to evoke as you float out the door.
